How we handle your information
Last updated 22 October 2026
This is a draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and some details are still to be filled in.
Who we are
Jèrè is run by SOLFLIGH TECH. It helps small businesses record sales, expenses, stock and the money customers owe them.
This page explains what information Jèrè keeps, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do. If you have a question, write to support@solflightech.org.
What information we keep
- Your account: your email address and your password. Your password is stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read. If you turn on the app lock, your 4-digit PIN is also stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read, together with how many wrong tries have been made in a row.
- Your business records: what you or your team type in. This includes your business name, your products with their prices and what they cost you, stock changes, sales and how they were paid, expenses, and money you put into or take out of the business.
- A referral code, only if you type one (or open a link that has one) when you create your account. It records which partner told you about Jèrè. That partner can see that someone registered, on which day, and whether they set up a business or pay. They never see your name, your email address or anything about your business.
- Your customers: the names and phone numbers you choose to add, and how much each one owes you.
- Your suppliers and staff: the names and phone numbers of suppliers you choose to add and what you owe them, and the names and pay amounts of any staff you list so you are reminded when pay is due. Staff you list are not Jèrè users.
- Your team: the name you give each person you invite, and what you allow them to see. Invite codes are kept only in a scrambled form and stop working after 7 days.
- Technical details: when you use Jèrè, our service providers record things like your internet address (IP address), the time, and what was requested. This helps keep the service safe and helps us fix problems.
We do not use advertising or tracking tools, and we do not ask for your bank card number or your bank login.
Why we use it
- To run Jèrè for you: to show your sales, stock, expenses and estimated profit.
- To send you the emails you ask for, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.
- To keep the service safe, fix problems and stop misuse.
- To follow the law when we have to.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to show you adverts.
Why we are allowed to use it
The law says we need a proper reason to use your information. Ours are:
- You asked us to run Jèrè for you, and using your information is how we do that. This is the agreement between you and us.
- We have a real need to keep the service safe, fix problems and stop misuse, and we do this in ways that do not unfairly affect you.
- The law sometimes requires us to keep or share information.
- Where we ask for your agreement to something, we will say so, and you can take that agreement back at any time.
Who can see your information
- You, the owner, can see everything in your business.
- Your team can see only what you allow. By default, a cashier can record sales and see your products, prices and stock, and sees only the sales they recorded. You can switch on more for each person. A cashier never sees your costs, your profit, your expenses or your business capital.
- Other businesses using Jèrè cannot see your records.
- The people who run Jèrè can reach the database in order to keep the service working. We will look at business records only when we need to fix a problem or when you ask us to.
Your customers' information
If you add your own customers' names, phone numbers or what they owe you, that is your information to manage. You decide what to record and why. We keep it only so that Jèrè can work for you. We do not use it for ourselves, we do not contact your customers, and we do not share it except with the companies listed below who help us run the service.
Please tell your customers that you keep these records, and only record what you need. The same goes for the suppliers and staff you list.
Companies that help us run Jèrè
We use a few other companies to provide the service. They handle your information only to do their job for us.
- Supabase: keeps the database and handles sign-in.
- Resend: sends our emails, such as password reset messages, and the weekly summary if you turn it on. They handle your email address and the message. The weekly summary contains your business figures and the names of customers and suppliers who owe you or are owed money, so turn it on only if you are happy with that.
- Vercel: runs the Jèrè website.
- Messaging apps (WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Messages or any other app on your device): only if you choose to send an invite code to a team member, or a receipt or a payment reminder to one of your customers. Those buttons open the app you choose on your device with the message ready, and nothing is sent until you press send there. The message and the customer's phone number go to that app only when you do this, and we do not choose the app for you.
Where your information is kept
Your business records are kept in Ireland, in the European Union, by Supabase. This means your information is stored outside Nigeria.
How long we keep it
We keep your records while your account is active, so that your books stay complete.
When you cancel a sale, an expense or a payment, we keep it and mark it as cancelled instead of erasing it. That keeps your history honest.
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the "My data" link at the bottom of the app. This deletes your business and all its records straight away, and it cannot be undone.
If you ask us to close your account instead, we will delete or anonymise your business records within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something. Backups are kept for about 7 days, so deleted information can remain in a backup until it expires.
What you can ask us to do
- Show you the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Give you a copy of your records. If you are the owner, you can also download them yourself from "My data".
- Delete your information. You can do this yourself from "My data" too.
- Object to the way we use your information, or ask us to limit it.
- Take back any agreement you gave us. This does not change what we did while it was in place.
To ask, write to support@solflightech.org. We will answer within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
If you record your own customers' details, you decide what to record, and you should only keep what you need. We keep those details only to run Jèrè for you.
How we protect it
- Each business's records are kept apart. The database is set up so that one business cannot see another's.
- Your costs, profit, expenses and business capital are for the owner only.
- Passwords, app lock PINs and invite codes are stored in a scrambled form.
- Sign-in links sent by email work only once.
- Information sent between your device and Jèrè is protected using HTTPS.
No system is perfectly safe, and we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong. We work to protect your information. If a problem affects you, we will tell you, and we will tell the authorities where the law requires it.
Children
Jèrè is for running a business. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this page
If we make an important change, we will tell you in the app or by email. The date at the top shows when this page was last updated (22 October 2026).
